Giethoorn - A Village in Holland

No Roads at Village Giethoorn in Holland

I am ready to bet, you have never heard of this village before.
Giethoorn is a place in Holland, where you will never
find a single road, because all, I mean it
all transportations are done by boats alone.
Truthfully speaking, just one look at the following pictures and you will know it looks reallybeautiful!

The name of this place is Giethoorn, a village in the Dutch region of Overijssel, is an worldwide tourist attraction in the Netherlands.
In the old part of the village, there were no roads and all transport was done by water. Now there is a cycling path. By Whisper Boat (an electric powered boat, which hardly makes any noise) you can explore the area
at your own pace. Depending upon the size of the boat it can take up to a maximum of 8 adults.

Our boats are driven by electric engines which are fed with 2 big batteries, which allows for 7 hours continuous drive through the area. It enables an undisturbed and comfortable way of sightseeing, either enjoying the cosiness of the village or
experiencing the peace of the surrounding nature.

On the lakes in the immediate vicinity you and your children can enjoy swimming, sailing or windsurfing.

We will of course give directions or guidelines in order for you to be able to operate the boat and we will supply you with a map, so that you can find your way through the many canals.
